  • Victorinox 12 cm Ceramic paring knife

The benefits of the ceramic knife are the best possible cutting quality, the blade remaining sharp over a very long period and the blade's neutrality with regard to taste. Thanks to the ceramic material, the knife is very light and weighs only half as much as a steel knife of comparable size.

As a result of their hardness, the blades remain sharp for an above-average period. Ceramic knives are also corrosion-resistant and, thanks to their smooth and very dense surfaces, are insensitive to acids. Ceramics are also very easy to clean: simply damp wipe, dry and carefully store in the protective cover.

The blades are manufactured from ultra-pure zirconium oxide powder that is compressed at a pressure of 1 500 bar and is sintered in special sinter furnaces at temperatures of 1 500 °C. A blade is thereby created that has extreme strength and is almost as hard as diamond.
